Strategy

For the last several years, Bergs has developed into an international timber processing Group with a base of operations around the Baltic Sea region. With the acquisition of Norvik hf’s businesses in the Baltics and the UK in 2018, Bergs doubled its sales and gained access to competitive production units and highly specialised expertise.

The continued evolution of the Group includes developing its own product segments and increasing the share of processing to a greater extent. This will make Bergs Timber more resistant to market fluctuations and improve profitability.

The future direction of the Group is defined in a strategy with four primary focus areas.
These are:

  • Growth in processing
  • Development of current structure
  • Routine productivity increases/cost reduction
  • Strengthen the Group: sustainability, brands and organisation
